OUR PATIENTS SPEAK OUT

I am a 43 year old female and business owner who became very ill 2 years ago with a sinus infection that was unlike anything I had ever experienced. Along with other symptoms (frequent vaginal yeast, foot fungus, black spots growing in my toenails, extreme pain in the head/sinus areas,) I was in a "fog" or haze as if I had stepped into a room of strong fumes. Over the course of that first year I consulted with 3 ear- nose-throat doctors, one OBGYN, one doctor of infectious diseases, an acupuncturist and my general practitioner. I was administered rounds of antibiotics, then valium (they said I must be grinding my teeth at night), various nasal sprays and other "symptom only" treatments, all which rendered no relief. I finally came to the conclusion that I was fighting Candida, which I knew might cause these symptoms and which I also knew that most doctors cannot or will not recognize. My general practitioner did administer the typical fungal fighting drugs but he did not have much experience in treating Candida. So I was given rather high doses of Nizoral and Diflucan which I developed a restance to and they were no longer effective. I had made some progress in my health and knew I was on the right track but needed someone with experience to get me out of this hell (I had reached the point where suicide was not out of the question). At this point I had even consulted with an internet herbalist who basically charged me a fee to hear a lecture for 1/2 hour on Candida.
